PRESS RELEASE

THE INDUSTRY AND COMPANY TO RELEASE ENSEMBLE COMEDY FEATURE ‘ANTIQUITIES’ IN SELECT THEATRES JANUARY 25TH

LOS ANGELES, CA – ANTIQUITIES, the ensemble comedy feature starring Andrew J. West ('Once Upon a Time,' 'The Walking Dead') and Ashley Greene ('The Twilight Saga'), will land in select theatres across the country Friday, January 25th, including a red carpet premiere at Laemmle’s Music Hall in Beverly Hills. I&Co Partner Ryan Bury will oversee the theatrical release.

On January 29th, The Orchard will release ANTIQUITIES across all North American digital and on demand platforms.

In ANTIQUITIES, after his father’s death, Walt (West) moves to his dad's hometown to learn more about who his father was. Accepting a job at a local antique mall, Walt is introduced to the quirky world in which his dad grew up. There, he learns not only about his father, but a good bit about himself.

Also starring Michaela Watkins ('Casual,' 'The House'), Michael Gladis ('Feed the Beast,' 'Mad Men'), and Academy Award©-winner Mary Steenburgen ('Book Club,' 'The Last Man on Earth'), ANTIQUITIES was shot on location in Arkansas.

The comedy is the feature directorial debut of Daniel Campbell, who co-wrote the screenplay with Graham Gordy ('Quarry,' 'Rectify,' 'True Detective' – Season 3), who also plays a supporting role in the film.

The film was produced by Gary Newton, Gordy and Campbell under their Mortuus Pater Pictures banner. Kathryn Francis Tucker and Jayme Lemons also served as producers.

“Some films are born to be seen on the big screen, and ANTIQUITIES wonderfully earns that right with sheer precision. It’s an honest, captivating and hilarious story that will truly inspire audiences of all ages,” said Bury.

The film’s original score was composed by Jesse Ingalls and Jason Mozersky of Relentless7. The soundtrack features songs by Martha Scanlan and Reeltime Travelers and Michael Prysock.

ANTIQUITIES was/is an Official Selection of the Austin Film Festival, Heartland International Film Festival, Dances with Films, Breckenridge Film Festival, and Fayetteville Film Festival (Winner: Audience Favorite). It will screen in competition at the Oxford Film Festival the week following its release.

Campbell is represented by The Gersh Agency, while Gordy is repped by CAA, Anonymous Content, and attorney Joe Dapello.

About Mortuus Pater Pictures
Antiquities was born in 2013 when three Arkansas native filmmakers (Daniel Campbell, Graham Gordy, and Gary Newton), who had made all or part of their entertainment industry livings elsewhere, came together to do what they love from where they love. Their production startup – Mortuus Pater Pictures – was launched to help create a successful and sustainable production industry to employ and inspire their fellow Arkansans. To that end, their first feature was 100% financed by Arkansans, with two-thirds of the cast and crew Arkansas residents or expatriates.
